Countdown to chocmass

Not may people know but in olden days Advent was a time for fasting, starting not 1st December but 11th November - a good biblical 40 day fast. Not much sign of intentional fasting these days apart from those who try to loose weight so they can put it all back on again. Strange.

My sister in law made these for each of our kid when they were little, they may be 17 to 22 years old now, but they still expect these up and if out of town, delivered in time for December 1st.

I'm wondering if I'll stop enough to prepare, my intention every year or if I'll stumble into Christmas as usual.
