Grumpy Santa

L will at least humour me when I get out the flash cards or colouring book (I say colouring in but it's more like scribbling the entire page in red!). She's not interested one bit so far at writing or drawing anything. She got a magic slate for her birthday and refused to go anywhere near it.

She caught me by surprise today with this "grumpy Santa" drawing. First time she's tried anything like it. I think I scared her with my OTT praise and high 5ing. Hope she has another go soon, I love watching them learn new things.

She had 3 friends at preschool who I think are the older girls of this set group. When L first started she seemed like a baby in comparison to them but now they let her join in and they all natter away while they play "doggies". L likes to be Scooby Doobie. ;-). A July baby, she still comes across as a lot younger than some of the others but she's certainly changing quickly. Perhaps I have her new friends to thank for Grumoy Santa. Little friendships at this age are so cute.
