A Lesson Learned
I learned a valuable lesson last week. ( I am sure PT will have something to say on that ;-) ) Don't put off photographing subjects until another time. I have had my eye on 2 trees near Dundee which sat beautifully on the dividing line between 2 fields. Around Oilseed flowering time the fields were particularly photogenic as one of the field was usually bright yellow and the other green. The trees always looked fantastic sitting perfectly between them. Last week they were cut down - not sure why, but Im sure they must have been diseased.
Oh well thats that plan out the window.
The trees above are a bit of a landmark on the north side of Arbroath. I have seen them looking spectacular. Sometimes against a setting sun, sometimes with fabulous cloud formations above them and also set against a snow covered landscape. I have never really got round to photographing them properly. I have seen some other photographers pictures of them looking fantastic, but I have not yet managed it.
PT and I were out for a walk on Sunday and on the way home I had a quick stab at photographing them. This certainly isnt a particularly great photograph, but at least its a photograph.
A lesson learned.
