Long Hair

A's hair is getting so long, and I think it's beautiful. Last night she had me braid it after her shower, so it was all crinkly and cute for school today.

It is funny to think about my (not-so-) little girl back when she was a baldy. She had almost no hair until she was close to 3, and as a toddler and preschooler she so desperately wanted it to grow! She used to drape blankets and hooded towels on her head constantly and call it her "long hair." She was also a headband fanatic who didn't do ANYTHING, including sleep, without a headband topping her head - the frillier and/or sparklier, the better. Around age 4.5, as her hair grew long enough for its first pigtails and ponytails, she outgrew the headband obsession - though she still enjoys accessorizing with one on occasion.

I can't believe how fast she's growing up.
