Rickshaw
Today I was on a course in Glasgow run by The Social Enterprise Academy. It was held in a very interesting space in Sauchiehall Street called Betty's Room. The room is on the top of a 5 storey building and is of Mackintosh design with lots of light coming in through the skylights. A really nice unusual space for this type of event. It was a different type of event anyway. The morning was quite interactive and in the afternoon we had a site visit. We were taken by minibus to visit the Glasgow Bike Station which is a Social Enterprise that has been very successful. This Rickshaw was donated, it came from Pakistan and all they had to do was to pay for it to be transported. It's a very beautiful colourful addition to their bike collection (and they use it as Santa's sleigh).
A day that gave lots of information to take back to work and generated a lot of ideas.
