Thank You, Adobe
I am sure that this letter will be familiar to many photographers, as Adobe admitted that they had been hacked and my credit card details might possibly have been compromised.
Rather than take any chances, I phoned up my credit card company and asked for my old card to be stopped and to be sent a new one with a different number. That new one arrived today, and (some of) the chopped-up legacy one can be seen above.
I do wonder why Adobe had kept my credit card numnber on file. I most certainly have not signed up to their "rent-your-software" programme - I have no desire to rent software and will move to Linux before doing so. So when I bought software from Adobe in the past, shouldn't they have accepted my order, charged the card and then, once the money was in their account, deleted the credit card information?
