Storks nests and mint tea

Today was very hot and we walked 22.9km.

Sarah swears that i chose todays albergue becuase the church next door had amazing storks nests (the storks had already left for Africa). Really i chose it because i was hot and tired and was desperate for the loo so had called in as i was passing with the intention of using the loo then carrying on. However, i must have looked as worn out as i felt because on entering the albergue the beautiful young hospitalera gave me a warm friendly welcome, took the rucksack from my back, sat me down and gave me a cup of fresh mint tea. Her warmth and friendliness reminded me of my daughter so i stayed.

Sarah had her worst nights sleep of the trip so far - i had fallen asleep around 8.30pm and once i'm out that's it. But apparantly one of the other people in our dormitory went around and handed out earplugs to everyone because he "snores loudly". Sarah said he wasn't kidding :-)
