Autumn? I seem to have missed it!
Three weeks of November away in India means that I have missed most of autumn. By now the millions of leaves are a thick, gooey mass on the pavements and many trees are bare.
Today I was determined to go for a walk. I was not feeling up to doing the Haltwhistle walkers' walk, but I pottered slowly from home on a 3 mile circuit over the fields. My brain forgot to remind me to wear gaiters and I chose a route over one of the muddiest fields in Northumberland. Nothing was going to bother me because it has been a bright and sunny day with a light wind and mild temperatures. The skies were splendid.
I spent time trying to decide whether to blip the colour version, with the deep cyan/blue sky, but opted to show the structure of the bare branches against the clouds in mono.
