Ploughing on the Horizon
Today was my last day at home in Yorkshire with my parents before I return to work in Leicester tomorrow. This morning in the field at the back of our house they started to plough the stubble, so as the comments from MyDartmoorwalks on my blip from Monday seemed to suggest that he wanted to see tractors ploughing rather than me ;) here is a shot of my Uncle Peter driving the tractor.
I liked how I was able to get a picture of the tractor on the horizon, with the clouds behind, and I thought it worked better in B&W as the sky looked a bit too bland otherwise.
I think it also shows the sometime solitary nature of farming these days with ever bigger tractors and fields meaning fewer people are required to do the work.
