Work meetings.
It's a love/ hate relationship.
I love the drives there and sitting next to my number one. I know I never have to do it alone...she is always by my side. The day she isn't there is the day I realize I'll have to move on from here but until then I'm pretty content.
I love listening to my store manager. You are so wise and you have been doing for this such a long time, you make me want to live this life. But I know realistically that burgers and fries isn't what I could put my full potential in forever. Why people dislike you is beyond me. You've paid your dues...so why not enjoy it and relax in the office while you have people under you doing your dirty work? Sounds like any real manager to me, honestly.
I love the family aspect. You all are my in n out family. The old cool that just expects everything to go your way. The old friend who brightens my smile with every wise crack you say. The old onion peeler that is so quiet but once you get close enough has become my favorite person to work with. The new girl who knows nothing about anything so you can just train to the best of your abilities. The new dude who has no clue why he is even there that you just want to give up on them. It's a crazy family indeed but our hardships and our victories are all because of one another. It's us against the world, so you are indeed my family.
I hate the new rules I learn that I don't so much agree with. The ones that I can't imagine helping us but only slowing us down.
I hate being around the ones who are there for only the money...I'm not there only for the money but because I truly enjoy working.
The main love/hate relationship is our family games. I love them because YOU, my favorite manager, has created them...but other than that...they make me uncomfortable. And I do hate them.
Enough babbling.
On a side note: I am standing with an associate with the best smile I have ever seen...and I truly believe it's because it's not a fake smile. And at my place of work that is unheard of!
