ReFood UK Doncaster

I visited ReFood UK first AD plant at Doncaster today to see how it is operated. This plant became operational during the summer of 2011. It is capable of processing 45,000 tonnes of category 3 animal by-product to produce 2.8 MWh of electricity, which is fed back to the National Grid. Plus is creates nutrient rich fertiliser used by local farmers.
