Not all that glitters is gold

I bought home this plant from a well known DIY store some 2 months ago and it was in abundance of beautiful leaves and it caught my eye because of the mottled coloured leaves.

Every time I passed it I noticed a sprinkling of fallen leaves and it soon became obvious that something was not right! It soon started to look like a spear ! Ryan googled it and apparently the colouring is a sure sign of a nutrient deficiency - and to think I chose the one with the interesting leaves, uh !

I fed it baby bio & moved it to another room and hey presto - it now has tiny new beginnings coming through and all new leaves are one colour - green - so there you go !
