Bridge up

I stayed overnight in Newcastle and whilst walking across the swing bridge I noticed that the Millenium Bridge was open (for boats to go under) or closed (for walkers and cyclists to cross over). I'd never seen it from this angle before. I think the boat belongs to the RN reserves who are based at the building on the right.

A day of interviews and the usual scramble in between them to assemble paperwork and deal with more urgent emails. I finally got the train home late afternoon, with just time to nip into the Lit & Phil to pick up a book I've been hunting for ages.

It wasn't until I downloaded the photos from the camera that I realised I'd caught one of the Tyne cormorants in the frame.
