Hydrogen Lab

Just across the car-park from me is our "Hydrogen Lab". This is a teaching resource in the lab that explains the theory of what goes on.... we generate Hydrogen by passing an electric current from a wind turbine through water, breaking the water down into Hydrogen and Oxygen. We store the H and experiment with ways in which it can be used as a source of energy. For instance, it is added to diesel fuel for fishing boats to add energy and reduce the liquid fuel. The lab is experimental for both research and teaching resources.,
