The New Neighbours

These swans have recently taken up residence on the canal here in Monster Haven. Not to everyone's pleasure it seems. I recently saw a murder(!) of crows force one of the juveniles out of the sky. Hundreds of them swooping and swirling around the poor thing. I was glad to see him reunited with his family a few days later.

I suspect the two legged and featherless inhabitants are more welcoming because as soon as I appeared at the canal bank they made a bee line for me.

I'm also very excited that I got to use the phrase a murder of crows appropriately!
