Sunset Over Aberthaw
Today I drove down to Sidmouth in Devon to pick up my 88 year old Aunt after her annual 10 day stay in her favourite hotel there. She has been going to the Victoria Hotel there for over 30 years, most of the years with her husband but has been going alone since he passed away a few years back.
She loves it there and the staff treat her like a Queen! The manager gave her a hug when she left! It is a very smart hotel but a bit too much like a very posh nursing home, if you get my drift!!!!! Lol! It has fabulous views over the coastline and the Christmas decorations inside were stunning.
Did the journey in 2 hours each way, so not too bad at all, and the weather was perfect. Had a lovely walk along the coastal path once I got there and snapped some nice shots of the beach front and Jacobs Ladder beach. It is a lovely place.
I took this sunset shot as I was driving through the lanes in the Vale, after I had dropped my Aunty back home near Cardiff Airport. The structure you can see is Aberthaw Powerstation.
