This is up the mother's side of the family, a man who had stables and later those horseless carriages in Galloway. When I was a young lad I was allowed to use his 10'6" rod. The most I ever did with this was screw the sections together and marvel at its length, mind.
So, later off to see Philomena at the Filmhouse, and I must say I was quite impressed. It's an enjoyable and well put together film, so it is. And later still, a gathering for some blethers. And just one wee whisky….
