Disney on Ice

It's Disney on Ice's opening night. It's something OO longed to see so I indulged her.

We rushed OO, little A and their little boyfriends from school to dinner, and from dinner to the coliseum just in time for the opening.

The only person in our family who has seen Disney on Ice is...DH! I'm not really into Disney but I'm excited for the girls. OO was jumping up and down, screaming, cheering and applauding, while little A sat back and quietly took everything in.

The whole Disney franchise is so...commercialized. Every 10 steps you'll find themed concession stands and/or kiosks selling everything from straws to toys, aiming straight at the unsuspecting kids who then look imploringly at you...And, if you managed to leave the building without caving in, wait, there are more kiosks waiting for you right outside in case you forgot something.

I was absolutely bagged by the time I got home. But the kids were so psyched that at the time of posting they are still awake (it's 11pm for goodness' sake!). Tomorrow morning should be interesting.
