Old Quarry Road

This is an old road which went to Nab End Quarry, Blackwood Common, Sowerby.
The quarry is long closed, but I find it fascinating to imagine the horse drawn trucks with their steel wheels clattering along these stone tracks, cutting grooves in them over the years.
The farmhouse on the left was no doubt built out of the stone from the quarry.
