So far, all my street portraits have been of the masculine variety.

Today however, while sitting in a local cafe, I spotted this lady who was just about to take a seat outside, because she had her dog alongside. I thought the hat suited her wonderfully so decided to ask if I might take her picture. And she was delighted to oblige- what a stroke of luck.

Although I say "outside", the tables are in a covered precinct and the light levels were lower than I expected, so the picture is not quite as crisp as I would have wanted, but still worth posting I thought.
