The Start Line

Carteret Bridge, just 200m from home and the start of my daily bike time trial to work. 12 mins 42 seconds to the Acorn gates on a clear day with no back pack, quicker on the downhill return leg. Bridge originally built to allow safe passage across the busy highway for residents of the SausmarezManor Estate. Rarely open these days but primary pupils from La Mare crossed last week on a visit to Sausmarez Park.
