It's been over a year since I sewed as much as a button onto a cardigan, and faced with the challenge of making six decoration for six ladies, like some kind of craftish chain letter, I dug out my needles only to find that 1) my eyesight has gone to the devil in the meantime 2) I live in a town with no haberdasher.

So I can barely thread a needle other than some huge sword of a thing, and I had to use very thick ribbon for this poor puss. Yes, it's a cat, and a cinnamon one to boot. It looks really mental, huh.

I got my first decoration from one of the others today - an orange slice with some thread through it, addressed to Emily. I think I might just send the others some cinnamon sticks...
