The Pack

I am STUFFED! We started the day off with our annual before Thanksgiving walk on the Lester Park Golf Course with several friends and our dogs. As you can see we had a couple of inches of snow overnight. It turned into a little longer walk than planned as Jill and I were dawdling along taking fotos so decided to cut across and meet up with everyone on their way back down. Her dog Molly was ahead with the pack and when we met up with everyone Molly wasn't there. So there was a great dog hunt with everyone picking a fairway to walk down on to look for her. She was smarter than we were as we found her waiting by Jill's car when we got back to the parking lot.
Then back home to get dolled up for our dinner with Bruce and Gail at the Kitchee Gammi club where they have a membership. We had wine, lox, cheese, fruit and crackers for appetizers. Dinner was mashed potatoes, gravy, sausage stuffing, creamed spinach, green bean casserole, asparagus, cranberry sauce, cranberry bread, candied yams, roast beef, turkey and lamb. I had to taste a little of everything, of course. And after that, we had to sample a few desserts: chocolate torte, creme brulee, pumkin and lemon tarts, pineapple upside down cake to name a few. There was a beautiful sunset which I got to watch in the rear view mirror on the way home.
At home I made a Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie for our get together with relatives tomorrow. Now to do dishes then I will put my feet up and spend the rest of the evening digesting and watching James Bond.
