Edinburgh Trees and Sky

I always forget how early it gets dark here in the winter. This shot was taken at 3.45 this afternoon, just as the sun was disappearing. And we hadn't been out very long at that stage!

Busboy and I had a quiet morning in the flat, playing with the macro function on his camera and rediscovering some other of its functions. When we finally did get out, we wandered down to the Grassmarket, where we couldn't believe how many people were queueing to have their photo taken in front of the Coca Cola truck. Not quite sure what the attraction is myself. We had dinner in The Royal Dick (out the back of Summerhall arts venue) and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. Busboy's cheese plate was enough cheese for a week though! We don't normally eat out as well as we are doing these few days, but this Edinburgh trip is meant to be a mini holiday for us! We're determined to get out the flat earlier tomorrow!
