Out of his Hand

A couple of our visiting king parrots have relaxed enough that for the last few days they've eaten out of our hands, which I think is rather nice for the kiddies. First time, I had the K-30 in P mode. As I figured that just might things easier in terms of quick snapping, without needing stop-down metering. The resultant photos look like Impressionist paintings. Except really horrid.

This time I went back to manual exposure mode, metered with the green button; while from an exposure, focus, and sharpness point of view it's pretty average, it's a lot better than the first time.

Compositionally this was a better photograph, but overall this one has better colour with the male, and less-awful focus.
