Raising The Roof (and the rest)

Friday, so it's choir day in Brisbane.

A week ago, this Brisbane house was a little one-bedroom, single-storey low cottage. It's now undergoing one of Queensland's unique upgrades. It's been raised (specialist companies do this) and will now have a new ground floor built under this original old wooden house.

Sometimes the original home is loaded on a big truck and relocated to a new plot of land, then raised and under-built.
