A magical mystery Tor?

Back on the Moor today and although a dull grey day, the eternal solidity of the granite tors still makes it a spectacle. Sculpted by the wind and rain over the years, one can see why it was a special place for man back in the Bronze Age. Within half a mile of the tor pictured above were three burial cairns, including one well-preserved cist.
With stone walls all around of various ages, it is a timeless landscape. Years of living in the South East of England surrounded by various carbuncles in places such as Bracknell and Camberley can help one appreciate this timelessness all the more - or perhaps continuing the theme of my title, all the moor. Tee-hee.
