An unexpected realization

On the bottom of the grocery list I sent with him, in miniscule letters, I wrote:

a tiny toy for me just because

We sometimes do that on each others lists just to be silly.

I love my new green metal slinky and photo frame and had the most unexpected realization; that all these years, I really really really wanted a snow globe. It's being flipped for the 159th time right now. Might be the only flakes around for another week if you don't count breakfast cereal and dry winter scalp.

Yesterday, we were married for 32 years. I was a child when we tied the knot. I'm not that old, really.
