not a white christmas..

..but a wet one with rain adding to the water sculpture in Forrest Place in Perth's city centre.

It's that time of year when Santa and elves are usually sweating and florid but today an extra spring in the step on a cool morning as they 'ho ho hod' through early shoppers.

Sobering though were the number of young people sitting on the crosswalk bridge with hand written signs telling tales of their homelessness. I haven't seen this before in this particular area and it is very troubling.
For some not a merry christmas either.
