I don't remember ...

Ever not knowing Kaireen.

We have been friends forever.

She is 6 months older than me so I wouldn't be surprised if we met the day I was born (certainly within the first week of my existence for sure).

Kaireen's mum and my mum were friends right up through school and it just so happens that they married brothers.

(I do wonder if this was part of a childhood pact/plan by them to one day marry brothers so they would no longer just be friends, but also sisters!)

Anyway our parents closeness resulted in us spending a lot of time growing up together (and we were in the same class at primary school).

We remained close right through the crazy years of adolescence, so, everything there is to know about me from those years she'll know!

We don't see each other as much now, life just gets in the way sometimes!

(And she's the busiest/best wee hairdresser in town and a mum to two brilliant wee boys.)

Great friends are like that, you don't need to see each other all the time to make sure you are still cool. You just seem to pick things up from where you left off the last time.

In 30 years we have barely said a bad word to each other!

---------

Trip 3 to Glasgow was to get my asthma checked and get a bigger prescription than normal to cover the first few months of our adventure.

Turns out my lungs/ breath isn't as good as a 'normal' male of my age, height and weight. Really? Could that be because I am asthmatic?

Anyway got my prescription and picked up my new specs : )

Then it was off to Ceilidh, Craig and baby Craig's for some Indian food and good red wine (not table).

When Jill went traveling I moved into what can only be described as a dump. So when she returned she said in no uncertain terms that she would not be living there at all ( due to concerns for her health : )

So Ceilidh was kind enough to let us both move in to her's for a few months until we found our own place. Who knows what might have happened if she had said no.

'Twas great to catch up and have a chat with her and her family.

A full day of goodbyes, who knows how we can keep this up!
