Carving
This carving was made by a distant female relative with the initials CHD in 1905. It was intended to be a communion cupboard door for a church somewhere in Devon but a mistake was made on it so it was discarded. It hangs on the wall in my Mum's house and has been there as long as I can remember.
We drove from Edinburgh to York today and got stuck in a lot of very slow traffic near Newcastle. We dropped in at our friends Sally and Neil's new house to catch up with them and meet Oscar their 6 week old baby. They seemed to have everything pretty much under control by running a farm, moving house days before Oscar was born, looking after baby Oscar and making loads of Christmas wreaths to sell at a local fair!
After we left them we said a quick hello to Mum and went to the pub with Karl to catch up on all the news. It's been around 10 months since we caught up properly.
