Night Skater, East Pier
Good weather, clear evenings, summer's door creaking open just enough for some of us to believe it may stay ajar for more than a day or two. Time I went in search of some more night shots.
First stop was Seapoint, around 10.30, just as the evening blue was deepening into night. I set up my tripod and asked a group of young people who were sitting on the grass, drinking, if they'd mind me catching thie silhouettes. They didn't of course. One of them came over and showed me his Canon, a mid-range, point-and-shoot model. He wanted to know about speeds, ISO, aperature etc. We had a little chat about it.
Then it was off to the East Pier in Dún Laoghaire, where I found this fellow, skating by himself next to a tall-masted ship. Inevitably, he, too, was interested in cameras, so we had another chat about it. Is there anyone out there who isn't a photographer?
