The accidental finding

Bomble takes the lesson

We had this book when I was a child. I mention it because Bomble looks a bit like Ernest Owl in this shot, sitting on the table with an exercise book at the ready.

Today's Arts fair at the Lansdown Hall in Stroud was fun. I broke through the break even point and am ever so slightly in the black. More than that, though, I gave out lots of information and may even have got a lead for running some non-vocational aromatherapy workshops in Gloucester!

One lovely thing that happened was as a result of my having emailed a mail order customer of mine a few days ago. We had been communicating by phone/email for around eight years, so I invited her to come along and introduce herself, as we had met so long ago that we couldn't even remember exactly where or when! Late in the afternoon, a lady turned up with a lovely looking black puppy, and it turned out that she was my mystery mail order customer! She immediately placed an order for "All my usual stuff, plus some of your new stuff" and doubled my sales at a stroke! Thank goodness for email. Always worth the effort.

I'm not sure where to go next; I still have stuff to sell, but outdoor markets don't work for me in colder weather, as people will not try the creams, etc. I may have to seek out further indoor stalls between now and Christmas, as well as encouraging visitors to the house, and asking my massage patients to take a look at my home-stall. My price list is here, just in case any UK readers are interested. I know blip isn't for selling stuff, but someone did ask...

CleanSteve has taken a shot of the market. I didn't get a good one of my stall. I didn't get any good shots all day, but I am so pleased to be at home now, in front of the fire, with Bomble on the table in front of me yet again, watching the Culture show special about PL Travers, the author of Mary Poppins. Apparently she was a rum old bird in real life. You don't say!
