Leicester...We Have A Problem
Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it...
A day out for Oliver and I at the National Space Centre in Leicester. A thoroughly enjoyable day. For a country that gave up on a national space program in 1960 its not a bad museum, with plenty of reasonable exhibits (space toilet caused amusement in Oliver). The Soyuz capsule is perhaps the scariest thing. To think that is what was lofting 3 people into space.
This picture is of a statue on the walk into the museum. It commemorates Ed White performing the first US space 'walk'.
