Life in a Northern Town

The Shard

Another busy day.

We started off at the Natural History Museum, including the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Sarah loves the wildlife photos - absolutely no brainwashing from me - and it was great, although I thought last year was better!

We had a jaunt through Green Park and looked at The Palace, strolled up The Mall and looked at the big blue chicken in Trafalgar Square. Back to the South Bank for a few more carousel rides and more crepes, then up to Covent Garden where we watched the best street performer I've ever seen, before stopping for a meal and then viewing the West End Christmas lights.

We went up The Shard, which was just brilliant. Awesome. Photos aren't that brilliant because of the reflections (and lack of tripod) but who cares, it was such an experience. Better than New York at night without a doubt. Loved it! If you get the chance, do it. Fabulous.

Now we are back at the hotel via the carousel again and more chocolate covered strawberries! Knackered. And broke.

I hope that my Flickr shots are here.
