St Andrew's night

A wee collage from my Rotary's celebrations at the golf club in Fraserburgh tonight. Our after dinner speaker was Jimmy Spankie who was one of Grampian TV 's first newsreaders and continuity announcers, and the entertainment was provided by local folk musicians Peter Hawkey and Barbara-Ann Burnett. The tartan background is the carpet at the golf club - very appropriate for the occasion!

This particular St. Andrew's night will of course be memorable for yesterday's tragic accident in Glasgow. We walked passed the Clutha often. It's strange how knowledge of a place always makes situations like this feel more personal. It's going to be a sad Christmas for those bereaved families.
