View from the Shard

Great start to the day, well end to Friday night. Curly arranged for a table at one of the restaurants at the Shard. Great food, company and lots of wine. Just about sober enough to manage to take this snap from the window. We were only half way up the Shard. The view from the top must be fantastic. Just liked the way St Paul's stands out.

It was a late start to Saturday proper, after not getting back in till gone 2. Headed into town to see the afternoon showing of Charlie and the chocolate factory. Great show. Nice to go in the afternoon as it was full of kids. Meant lots of short people for us to be able to see over. We normally get the 8ft tall person sitting in front.

From there it was a bit of shopping in Covent Garden before meeting up with curly and AD for a curry.
After last night everyone was flagging so headed back to watch Strictly and going to bed. Great day.
