Carousel

We took time out to see two friends work at two galleries before they come down, and walked home via this plaza that just recently was emptied of young folks who had no agenda but sit about and be up to no good. I hate that their lives are such, that society has major responsibility for all this and that they have been chased away from a gathering place.

BUT the plaza was always a place for community and, at the holidays, for this age old tradition of riding the carousel - and there it is, there are the kids, the parents, the grandparents, and all the joy that people share with such simple pleasures. Me too, did not ride but sure enjoyed watching!
