Our Street

I just got back from my trip to North Wales. Just over two and a half hours on the train, amazing!!

Our street is a bit weird. It’s really two streets each ending in a circle. In between the two bits is a pathway leading down to a rose garden and then the canal. This is looking from that pathway into the circle where our house is. There are a few more vehicles here than normal because our new next door neighbours moved in just yesterday.

As you can see the houses in our street are not shaped like conventional houses. They are wedge shaped with a single story L shape attached to the back. Milton Keynes used to be known for it’s unconventional styles of housing but recently things seemed to have changed and each new area built looks like the one that was built before and could be anywhere else in the country. I think that’s a shame but it must be what the builders thing people want.

Standing here to take the shot I can hear birds singing and I’ve just seen a squirrel scurrying up a tree. It is quite a pleasant place to live.
