Aylesbury Font

The dark nights are playing havoc with my blipping, my blip mojo has disappeared, as I lock the Church on a Thursday this caught my eye!

The font is late 12th century and is a finely carved example of the local "Aylesbury" type. It was apparently in the Chuchyard for some years and you can see it was painted at some point in it's life. It is very large and is in a very awkward position in the Church although I think there may be plans to move it when money allows.
