Countdown to Christmas Hugankiss Style ...

Advent .... 24 days to go.

Today is the first Sunday of Advent, and my very own countdown to Christmas started with a visit to St Alban's Abbey.

This was taken from the West, the only aspect that offers an open view of the Abbey.

St Alban's Abbey has always been at the centre of my life, having lived within the diocese for all but four years. The great central tower can be seen from remarkable distances, considering St Alban's sits in a vale.
