Whoopers

I 'd been told there were whooper swans on Faranannagh Lough so I buzzed off down there after my morning classes. Beautiful, beautiful birds! There were 3 of them as well as a family of mute swans. Ducks too; I think they were pochard, but I'm not very good on ducks!
Then in the sea alongside I saw an otter. I thought it was a seal at first because there are so many around here, but when it flicked its tail clear of the water there was no mistaking it.
I called in to visit Freespiral but it was like the Marie-Celeste there. Cars in driveway, lights on but not a soul to be seen! Pity.
