White ribbon day

25 November is the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and over recent years has become unofficially known as White Ribbon Day, at the heart of which is a campaign by men to end violence against women.

Today I helped organise a programme of events to mark the day and help raise awareness amongst colleagues and local partners. It was a thought-provoking and touching reminder about domestic violence in all its forms and what a significant issue it remains for women, and men, around the world.
