BethaBlip 84...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

Two more minutes. I swear, there is normal time and there is Bethany time. I think she should get a watch with an extra hand on it to show her where two more minutes is because whenever you ask her to do something, it's always just 'two more minutes.!'.

Other than that, school is going well. Her reading is brilliant where she's reading books that more advanced that she gets at school just now. She has to got through the school curriculum progressively. Only issue we've been told about by her teacher is her spelling and writing could do with a wee touch up. Her maths though is going really well. There was a wee moment with big subtraction, tens and units, where she didn't quite get it, but she had a wee lightbulb moment in the class one day and it sorted itself out. I think they do this in class but she was doing wee word sums one night. Taking her name, converting each letter into a number A=1, B=2 etc and adding up the total for everyone's name. I gave her a substitution code based on the same number list which once I pointed out to her what it was, she worked out I'd written her name in numbers. She then gave me 'skateboarding' back in the same thing.
