Great lazy Sunday. The only task on my schedule was to pick up my parents from the airport. They've visited my brother in Barcelona, where he is doing a Erasmus semester. Their flight landed perfectly on time, but for some unknown reason they needed more than half an hour to get their luggage, which is rather extraordinary at Munich Airport - normally it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes. So I had plenty of time to stroll and take pictures.

The blip shows Munich Airport Center (MAC), where a Christmas market takes place through all of December. With approximately 38,000,000 passengers every year Munich Airport is the 7th busiest airport in Europe. The MAC is supposed to be Europe's largest roofed area and is located between the two terminals of the airport. It also features the only airport brewery in the world - given the location that probably is hardly surprising.

The Christmas markets in and around Munich only opened last Monday and that is already my second photo of such an event...
