Edinburgh Christmas markets
Today we ventured into Edinburgh to visit a couple of Christmas markets. We wrapped up warm and made sure the hats and scarfs were packed into the buggy.
First we headed to the Garvald Centre Christmas market. A wonderful collection of inspiring people and amazing products! As per are normal tradition we purchased a couple of new decorations for our tree.
Then it was off to the Edinburgh Christmas markets - a more commercial affair that was packed to capacity! With CJ tucked warmly in his buggy we made our way thought the crowds and down to the Xmas grotto - an oasis of wonder for the kids with a Xmas tree maze, Santa's grotto and the Xmas tree train. We, of course, had tickets for the train - which CJ loved. Two laps of the track, with the Xmas tree lights, the hidden reindeer and people to wave at!
We then found a quiet corner by the Hot Toddy tent and the train and we had a warming refresher while CJ continued to wave at the train each time it went past.
Then we had a quick look around the stalls making a couple of purchases including a chocolate marshmallow cone for CJ, before heading home...
