Everyone knows Oxford Street on a Saturday is a nightmare! But close to Christmas, it's asking for your inner rage to crawl right up your back! No matter how pretty and gorgeously amazing the Christmas lights look, you can't get past the hordes of people who take away from the experience. If you stop in the middle of the pavement, chances are you will get shoulder charged within seconds! The large and popular department stores are worth visiting but again the whole experience is pathetic when you have people right under your nose at every corner!

I suggest a Monday/Tuesday evening shop around. Or just go to a mall and admire the lights after shops close (which is a must see).
