Toasting The Doctor, 0030 hr

Saturday was the day of the Dr Who 50th Anniversary and the evening was filled with related programmes - The Day Of The Doctor itself, the Afterparty and a 30 minute Red Button special devised by Peter Davison, The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot. There was also a behind the scenes documentary on YouTube and iPlayer, and a few days previously there had been an excellent dramatisation of the first appearance of the world of the Tardis and the Daleks onto our screens, led by William Hartnell (played by David Bradley) as the Doctor, in An Adventure In Space And Time.

While I had been in Sainsbury's earlier in the day I had found a tumbler that matched my Jack Daniel's bottle, and came with a miniature of the same, so I rounded off the day with a toast to Dr Who.
