Hythe Pier

Hythe Pier was opened in 1881 and an electric railway added in 1922. It is now the oldest pier railway in continuous use in the world. See Hythe Pier. A ferry runs from the end of the pier into Southampton Town Quay and I can remember many trips on it when I was a boy. Must go again when the tide is in!
