Well. Today is the first time EVER that I have worked on the 2nd of December! 42nd UAE National Day and as they switched the holiday for convenience, I had a long weekend, but it hasn't felt right all day! C'est la vie.

Quiet at work and on the roads. The Red Arrows apparently did an amazing flying display but only a handful of people got to see it because it was the wrong end of on the other side of town and everyone was at work anyway!

Had to visit the tailor today to get some work trousers made up and this artisan was quietly working away on what looks like a HUGE piece! Wonder how long it's going to take him. Saw some GORGEOUS fabrics - Made in England nonetheless - and so expensive, I just can't think about it at the moment. Called by at Diane's to deliver her birthday present and as the gift was champagne flutes, she wanted to christen them straight away!! You can't say no to a girl on her birthday can you? Too much bubbly consumed too soon on an empty stomach... I was rather light headed when I left. Can't believe I've got this blip done so sensibly and quickly!
